In this day and age, one of the best ways to get into bartending is bartending DVDs.  We recommend that you take bartending classes because you’re going to learn more from classes than you ever would from bartending DVDs.  The difference between the two options is being able to do the tasks yourself or having to watch someone who isn’t even in the same room as you or aware of your presence do it at a pace that may or may not be the best one for you.  Some people can get a lot of benefits from bartending DVDs, but there are also a lot of people who don’t get anything out of them.  There are schools with the sole purpose of teaching people how to bartend.  You’re more likely to get a job at one of these places than at an actual bar.
